Thanks for the additional info.

Of course, I should have remembered that, as my brother uses Telewest
broadband. 3 Meg!! Wow.

Better than NTL then. Unfortunately the availability of NTL and Telewest are
mutually exclusive.

Does that mean technical quality of the services will all be the same, or do
the individual providers have control over some elements of bandwidth
allocation and other performance factors? I obviously need to learn more
about ADSL before jumping the NTL ship. Is this the best newsgroup for ADSL
discussion? I recall vaguely that there was discussion in here a year or so
ago about forming a new group specifically for ADSL. Did this happen? I
cant find any ADSL specific groups on the NTL news server (maybe they dont
welcome it :-) ) .

OH!!! I didnt realise I was receiving comment from the authority on this
topic :-) .
I refer to your site often (but obviously dont read it thoroughly enough).
It was one of the first entries to my favourites list when I first used the
internet.
I usually go there to look at particular Tables and have neglected the
Whats New pages. I have just briefly corrected that omission but
reasonably the Whats New articles only go back to Aug 2003, so dont cover
June 2003 when I assume it was when BT introduced the 3p/1p/1p rates on the
Together packages. Can you confirm this?
