Can anyone please tell me how I set up an Orchid V4 to block calls to
BTs 1471 service? I cant get BT to disable the ringback (button 3)
facility and dont need 1471 as the handset stores the info anyway.

I can easily resist the temptation to press the button but Im not the
only phone user in the house!

You just need to add a routing line for 1471 with the type of call set
to 1 (barred).

Are you using local DTMF programming or via the web client ?

Yes, 1471 is free, but the redial (button 3) facilty is expensive at 6p
(see posts elsewhere in this group)

Barr all codes starting with a 1, then allow the specific 1xx...
codes you are happy with.

1471 is free, but press the 3 and youll be charged a fee (5 or 10p, not

No! What I meant was I thought that BT would either remove the entire 1471
facility or optionally just the dial 3 part of it from the line for no cost!

Wish they would........ i have return call fees on for calls i did not
make... background noise can cause it to decide to return the call
