I will own up to getting Richard to add 18185#00 to the carrier codes.
It is used as a translation to enable international calls, where the
international number is preceded by a prefix which when correctly
dialled in will route the international call via 18185. It was the
kids that drove me to this paranoia !

You have to download some software from the Orchid web site. I did
this so many years ago I cant remember the procedure I went through.
At the time Orchid gave me a username and password. This may be done
automatically now. I was also sent some files of user guides which I
printed out but I dont know if I still have the original files. I
think they will also be on the web site. Anyway, once you have got the
software up and running it should connect to the Orchid server. You
can then configure your dialling plan etc.

I would guess a call via 18185 but without having to dial the
international code ??

I dont know what context this is in so I cant comment. There are
some speed dials in there for example. I also got some special codes
put in there to make the dialling on a Fritzbox more user friendly. It
is a case of looking through the long list to see what is the best
option for your application. People have asked for all sorts of custom
codes to be entered so many will not make much sense.
After setting up you have to make sure that the box has called home
and properly updated. The light on the box should flash for about a
minute or more....if it is only about 15 seconds then it hasnt worked
- not in my experience anyway.
The various pages on the application will give information about the
dial plan set up, end user and box details. It is also possible to
find out if the box has successfully dialled home - though Im not too
sure how reliable an indicator that is.
