Does anyone know the answer to my question below?

I missed a call and upon using 1471 the number was 0151 793 12313
(Missing last 2 digits )

I am within the 0151 area but a quick look up for the 0151 793 found
no results what so ever , Im not sure the 793 is even in use. I have a
questions how come the last two digits wasnt recalled on 1471 and I
cant find the 0151 793 as an area code? I am a Virgin media customer
if that matters.

Thank in advance

You are not missing last 2 digits, you have 1 too many!
0151 is Liverpool.
However, 0151 793 is not allocated (so ignore the remaining digits anyway).
There will only be 4 following digits. e.g. 0151 793 xxxx.

Suspect the caller was spoofing their id.

I had a call earlier today on my BT line, offering to help me manage my
debts. My stand-alone caller display unit gave the number as 016169802356,
but the phone display and dialling 1471 both gave it as 0016169802356 -
rather unusual for BT to be displaying international CLIs.

Youve got too many digits for a UK number, so I suspect youve had a
similar call, and Virgin have managed to lose an initial 0 from the CLI, and
it should be 001 517 931 2313 (Jackson MI).

This happens when the caller is using a roaming mobile within the UK. This
caller is also from Michican USA.

Thanks Don

A quick look for that number retrieved this

http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-517-931-2313

Appears its a telemarketing scam thing from USA. Weirdest thing is
someone else from USA using Sprint (Virgin) claims to have had the
calls to their mobile. Could Virgin be selling on peoples details?

Once again thanks for the info.
